Vaccinations: Recommended, But Really Necessary?

I was concerned about traveling to a foreign country and wondered if I might need vaccinations. But I was also concerned that if I asked any official offices, organizations, or travel businesses, that they would most certainly say yes. Would it be yes because it is true, I really would need them. Or, yes because they would not want to be liable if they were to say, no I really don’t need vaccines, and then something happens, and I attract an illness that may have been prevented by a vaccination.
