Choosing the Best Luggage for My Trip

Most Airlines allow you three pieces of luggage, without any additional charges. One checked bag, one carry on (19x11x9), one person item (17x10x9).  I set out looking for luggage that would allow me maximum storage capacity, travel well, and keep my items safe and secure.  I figured I wanted a sturdy hard case roller check in bag, and a carry on that would slip securely over the handle of the checked roller bag, and a small backpack as a personal item that I would keep with me at all times.

This is what I came up with.

Checked bag
For a checked bag I wanted and sturdy hard case roller with two wheels. It seems most hardcase luggage these are of the four wheel roller type. I wanted a hardcase with two wheels.

It was not easy but I finally found the Traveler’s Choice Maxporter Hardside Rolling Trunk. It measures 24″H x 13″W x 12″D, has a textured finish, telescoping handle, protective riveted corner guards, adjustable padded divider shelves, zippered divider compartment with mesh and clear pocket, and a detachable clear zippered utility pouch.

Carry On
For a carry-on, I already had a suitable cloth duffel type bag that fit the maximum dimensions. It included a back strap (with a Velcro in the center) that would fit over the handle of the Roll On.

Personal item
For a personal item I chose the Pacsafe Venturesafe 15L GII Anti-Theft Daypack. It measures 17.7″H x 10.2″W x 6.3″D, with a zippered main and front compartment, and 2 side stretch pockets, plus many other great features.

I reason I selected this pack was to keep my most valuable items secure from thief. It includes:
Carrysafe Slashguard Strap
eXomesh Slashgrard lining
RFID Safe Blocking Pockets and Material
Smart Zipper Security
Turn & Lock Security Hooks

Hopefully this will meet my luggage needs.
